Mr Yuen Siu-fai, maestro in Cantonese Opera, Vice Chairperson ofThe Chinese Artists Association of Hong Kong . He began his performing career in films at the age of seven before turning to the stage. In 1991, Mr Yuen was awarded the Annual Hong Kong Artist Award and decorated with a Badge of Honour from the Queen of the United Kingdom in 1992. In the same year, he performed in a Royal Command performance for the Queen in London. In 2003, he received the Award for Arts Achievement from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. Mr Yuen is also a brilliant opera-script writer. His well-known works include Havoc at Guang Chang Long (《 大鬧廣昌隆》) and Lu Meng-zheng - Footprints in the Snow (《呂 蒙正‧評雪辨蹤》). He often conducts seminars and workshops on Cantonese Opera in universities and secondary schools. In March 2012, he was awarded the Honorary Fellowship from the Hong Kong Institute of Education.
