HKAAA’s Delegate Trip 2023 for Arts & Cultural Administrators is now open for application!
The Delegate Trip will be held during 10 -17 June 2023 in two vibrant cities in Australia. Starting in Sydney, the delegation will meet Australian cultural leaders and practitioners during visits to important cultural venues and organisations, followed by a 4-day programme with the Australian Performing Arts Market (APAM) Gathering at the RISING Festival in Melbourne. This June, Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association (HKAAA) is presenting our signature event - Virtual Career Fair 2022: Decoding Arts Administration, to decode arts administration and its essential ingredients and flavours. Countries are accustoming themselves to the unprecedented COVID-19 era, recovering from the challenging time. How did orchestras' leaders help replenish and assemble the community, bring positive energy to citizens and medical personnel through music programmes? What have been the practical challenges and solutions to project execution with more limitations imposed? How do the leaders forecast the future of orchestras?

In March 2022, HKAAA is presenting the returning talk production "Late-night Art Talk Series", with international orchestra directors discussing on the topic "The Future of Orchestras & Community Engagement".

Following the huge success of HKAAA's "Late-night Art Talk Series” and APAM's “WIRE” series, HKAAA and APAM jointly present "Eventide Conversations" a virtual cultural exchange between Hong Kong and Australia. The series of talks and workshops will be held from April to November 2021, aiming to open dialogues, encourage engagement and facilitate knowledge exchange between arts and cultural leaders around the world. We will explore new and emerging strategic challenges facing artists and arts organizations in the wake of Covid-19, and access the best thinking from both locations. Participants will apply shared concepts and frameworks as they rebuild and re-energise post-COVID.

New media arts appear when contemporary artists choose to use the latest media and technology as a medium of their work. New media introduces a new way to create and to present, re-defining the relationship between the artist, the artwork, and the viewer. The fast development of the internet also changes people’s conception of time and space. In this context, new media arts become ever-changing with complex modes of expression.
