Introduction
Do you enjoy being creative?
Are you interested in studying Art & Design?
Want to know how this can lead to a career?
Career counsellors, art teachers, students who like art and design, and their parents, are all invited to join the upcoming Study and Career Options in Art & Design event at the British Council.
This event is an opportunity for students to learn from professionals who have developed careers in creative industries, and university academics from the UK who teach in the relevant fields. Speakers will discuss career options, their experiences, and answer your questions, such as:
1. Which careers are available in Art & Design?
2. What qualifications can lead to which jobs?
3. What do different jobs involve?
4. How should I prepare for a career?
5. Which skills and personal qualities do I need?
University academics, employers, and alumni who have completed study and started their careers, will speak in a panel discussion about specific fields, including Art & Creative Enterprise, Fashion Industry and portfolio development and job applications.
These interactive sessions will give you the opportunity to ask questions, discuss what career fields might be right for you, and which higher education courses will get you there.
