Miss Teresa Lee, currently Senior Manager (Theatre and Chinese Opera) of the Cultural Presentations Section of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, was engaged for years in the arts administrative work of the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre and the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra under the management of the former Urban Council. She also led the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra on a number of performance tours to Beijing, Taiwan and Japan. In the 1990s, she was involved in the planning of the Chinese Theatrical Arts Festival, the Chinese Music Festival, the Chinese Dance Festival, and the Asian Arts Festival for two years, as well as the Artist-in-Residence Scheme first launched by the former Urban Council. After that, she focused her efforts on the co-ordination of theatrical performances and programmes relating to Chinese opera, including Cantonese Opera Day and Chinese Opera Festival.
