Mega Events Fund Tier-2 Scheme  

Objective: To promote tourism, raise the profile of Hong Kong internationally and promote Hong Kong as an events capital of Asia.

Target: Registered local non-profit-making organizations

Particulars:

• The proposed event shall raise the profile of Hong Kong internationally; create a branding impact; attract visitors to come to Hong Kong specially for the Tier-2 event and / or lengthen their stay in Hong Kong; generate media coverage (both local and non-local);
• be of a considerable scale with a total number of 10 000 or more attendees involved;
• contain a non-local element including participants / spectators / audience from the Mainland and overseas; and
• allow participation by the general public of Hong Kong.

The Mega Events Fund (“MEF”) expired in end March 2017; and no longer accepts application.
