Winsome Chow, Assistant Director (Performing Arts), Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) of Hong Kong

Winsome Chow is a senior arts administrator of Hong Kong.  As Assistant Director (Performing Arts) of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) of Hong Kong SAR Government, she is responsible for the management of 14 performing arts centres and the programmes of the Performing Arts Division.  In the early years of her career, she was involved in the organization of the Hong Kong International Film Festival and the Festival of Asian Arts.  She was appointed as one of the two Senior Managers in charge of the opening festival of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre in 1989. In the 90’s, Ms Chow’s career path took her to different areas of arts administration including venue management, community arts and arts education.  Since the year 2000, she founded three arts festivals including the New Vision Arts Festival, World Cultures Festival and the International Arts Carnival which have become significant performing arts events every year in Hong Kong.  She was then involved more on planning, supervision and corporate development and coordination matters, handling projects such as the organization of the 2006 Hong Kong Congress of the International Society for the Performing Arts, the Venue Partnership Scheme of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the project design and implementation of Yaumatei Theatre and Ko Shan Theatre Annex as well as the large scale programmes in celebration of the 10th and 15th Anniversary of the Establishment of Hong Kong SAR.
