以培養學生藝術設計及文化見稱、位於樂富的高中直資學校香港兆基創意書院（下稱創意書院），近日宣布開辦初中課程，最快2021/22學年有首批中一新生。副校長蔡芷筠稱，高中課程僅得短短兩年半，學生需時適應學校嶄新的學習模式，又要兼顧藝術學科及其個人情緒狀况，形容是「相當沉重」，希望開辦初中可以給學生一個完整的學習過程。

本港新冠肺炎疫情持續，政府最快於本月底公布第三輪防疫抗疫基金。體育、演藝、文化及出版界立法會議員馬逢國今日（8日）向政府提交21項建議，要求盡快推出第三輪基金，協助業界應對新一波疫情。

政府公布進一步放寬社交距離措施，食肆一枱可坐4人、部分處所可以重開，包括表演場所、遊戲機中心、麻將天九耍樂場所等。另外，在公眾場所的聚集人數由2人放寬至4人。相關措施由本周五凌晨起生效，為期7天，至本月17日。
