In the midst of the ongoing heated debate over the establishment of the Cultural Bureau and the shaping of arts and cultural policy in Hong Kong, Mr Ma Fung Kwok won a seat in the Legislative Council (Sports, Performing Arts, Culture and Publication Functional Constituency). Previously a film producer, Ma actively participates in public services, particularly in the arts and cultural sector. After the success at the election, and now being a representative of the arts and cultural sector, what are his views to the current culture policy, ecology and the authorities in charge of the arts and culture development? In the coming five years, what are his plans in fostering effective cultural policy development with a long term vision? How will he respond to the needs and aspirations from the practitioners of the sector? What are his views for the Government in strengthening the city’s unique positioning as the cultural hub in the region?
An important meeting for arts and culture practitioners to share your thoughts and make your voice heard. Not to be missed.
