New Media Marketing and Audience Development
While organizations still rely on print media as a means of promoting the arts, new media has become increasingly popular as new platform for marketing. In this seminar, the speakers will give an overview on mobile and internet marketing and will illustrate how social media and augment reality can serve as tools for effective marketing and audience development. Case studies drawn from both commercial and arts related experiences will be given to provide insights into how traditional and digital marketing can be combined to produce results.
New customer behavior and experiences have been reported with new media marketing, something which arts marketers would hope to bring about for their audience in future. Core audience would include arts marketers and those directly responsible for audience development but would extend to those who have general interest in exploring the potential of new media. This popular talk is suitable for all working in arts organizations of different sizes, from project grantees to established arts organizations, and in different disciplines.
