Funded by Arts Capacity Development Funding Scheme (ACDFS), presented by Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association (HKAAA)
With the support provided by the Arts Capacity Development Funding Scheme (ACDFS) of the Home Affairs Bureau, the Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association (HKAAA) initiates the Fellowships for Arts Management Experience (FAME) Programme, aiming to provide valuable training opportunities for middle level administrators to learn-by-doing, gaining insights from veteran arts administrators of internationally renowned arts organisations in major cities in the world. By providing professional training to these selected candidates, they will contribute their expertise to their employers as well as to the local arts field in the long run.
The FAME candidates will have the opportunity to:
- Receive their placements in Australia, Poland, Taiwan or the United Kingdom
- Receive around 12 weeks full-time attachment at the internationally renowned arts organisations
- Gain insights from veteran arts administrators and work with them in their signature projects
- Participate in the following placement areas: programming, marketing, audience development, fundraising, venue management, customer services and so on
FINANCES
A bursary of $50,000 to a maximum of $98,000 will be provided to each of the successful candidates to cover costs of the overseas training programme in cash reimbursement (including one economy return air ticket, accommodation, basic travelling insurance, allowance for local travels and cultural visits).
To encourage local arts and cultural organisations supporting their staff with potential for participating in the Programme, a maximum allowance of $20,000 per month for 3 months will also be given upon request to the participants’ employers to seek for temporary staff covering the attachment period.
FAME is financially supported by the Arts Capacity Development Funding Scheme of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
