The Hong Kong International Literary Festival, one of Asia's premier literary festivals, today announces the lineup for its 13th edition, themed “The Stories Begin”. From 1 to 10 November the Hong Kong International Literary Festival will offer a diverse programme of 53 exciting events, including the Schools programme.

 

Promoting the literary arts, the non-profit, charitable organization invites writers from Hong Kong and countries around the world such as Mainland China, South Korea, the Scandinavian countries of Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland, India as well as the US, England and Australia. Among the participants are award-winning authors, bestselling novelists and red-hot performance poet, including featured authors Jung Chang and Kyung-sook Shin and Graeme Simsion, Nordic crime fiction writers Åke Edwardson, Antti Tuomainen and Thomas Enger, Christian Moerk popular performance poet Luke Wright, as well as our city’s very own talent such as Duncan Jepson, Rob Lilwall, Xu Xi, Justin Hill, Phillip Kim and one of the Festival’s ex-directors Douglas Kerr.

 

This year, the  festival events will be grouped under 8 different series to make it easier for our patrons to navigate through the lineup and select events and authors based on their literary tastes.
