Wind Mill Grass Theatre was founded in 2003 by Shaw Mei Kwan, Joey Leung and Edmond Tong. With Hong Kong as the base for creation, diversification of the production stage, the theatre creates works which have different local characteristics and a soul that closely connects with the people of Hong Kong. It also uses the simple interpretation of the world of modern theatre classic repertory approach to develop new audiences, making them feel the theatre which resembles the life of "Wind Mill Grass". The theatre believes that life is closely related to theatre.

In recent years, Wind Mill Grass Theatre’s works mainly touch people's hearts and successfully motivate young audience to experience the theatre, sharing life with them bit by bit. The theatre also tries different works including adaptation of the Broadway musicals, original local musicals, opera translations, as well as multi-theatre collective creativity.
