Vennie Ho joined the Hong Kong Philharmonic Society Ltd. in 1975 when the Orchestra has just turned professional. In her early years with HK Phil, Vennie was among the small group of staff in the administration in spearheading the many important initiatives of the Orchestra. With her professional qualification in Accountancy, she did not only take charge of the Society’s finance but also the overall administration as a whole. She resigned from her position as Assistant General Manager (Finance & Administration) in 1994 when she moved to Toronto, Canada with her family.
Vennie moved back to Hong Kong after staying in Canada for 3 years and joined the Consumer Council in 1998. She was in charge of the 6 core functions of the Council – Human Resources, Finance & Accounting, Information Technologies, Committee Secretariat, General Administration and, Events and External Affairs. She resigned as the Head of Administration and External Affairs of the Consumer Council in 2010 when her passion and zeal for the orchestra and art administration has taken her back to HK Phil. With her wealth of experience in human resources and public administration, Vennie has a lot to offer as the Senior Director of Administration & Finance.
In charity, Vennie is the Founding Chairman of Corners Field Social Service (HK, China) Ltd.. She was also an active member of the Lions Club of Victoria Hong Kong, acting as the 3rd Vice-President in 2009-2010 and Honorary Secretary in 2010-2011.
