Design Department Graduation Exhibition Guided Tour
The Exhibition congregates work of the students from the five disciplines (Set & Costume Design, Costume Technology, Property Making, Scenic Art and Set Construction) that will be graduated from the Academy in year 2016. Graduates will share the students’fruits of labor and their respective graduation projects. The exhibition will also provide a deeper insight to each discipline and what students have achieved in the past 4 years.

There are initally a few challenges for artists. They have to determine what to put on the price tag for their works. When it comes to creating an optimal, yet artistically aesthetic exhibiting space, complemented by the right illustrations for audience's understanding and comprehension, they have to think even harder. They will then face the next hurdle -- how to commmunicate with the audience in an exhibition or expo setting, to make sure the whole conversation will not be "lost in translation". We have invited Ms Henrietta Tsui-Leung, founder and co-president of the Hong Kong Art Gallery Association and art gallery owner, to offer and share her invaluable advice and experience.

Public Forum: Arts education with a difference: how to highlight the social and educational value of the arts ?
Most arts education programmes in town emphasize skill-based training and focus on students’ achievement in graded examinations. However, the arts education programmes founded by our two speakers highlight on the social and education value of the arts. The Music Children Foundation offers free music lessons to underprivileged children in Sham Shui Po and aims to nurture their confidence, sense of responsibility and team spirit. Rooftop Institute invites Asian and local artists to conduct artistic research and discussions on contemporary social and cultural issues. It strives to broaden the international perspective of local youngsters through their engagement with Asian artists.

Hong Kong Art Administrators Association is launching the first Career day at The Work Project on 11 March 2017 (Saturday) to not only supply different levels of jobs in the arts field, but also provide extensive information to participants to learn and understand more about art administrations.
